| | Model of the car: | Sportage | | | General comments: | Purchased it in Anchorage, Alaska used (25,000) miles on it in 2002. Drove it down to lower 48. Absolutely love the quick switch 4 wheel, great for icy roads. get about 21=22 miles per gallon. live in mountainous terrain and like to go to the river which needs 4-wh. we follow the maintenance schedule very closely. Do use the vehicle on long trips without any problems, but it is small inside for the long trips. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Two things gone wrong with the car was an electrical problem which caused the vehicle lights to go out entirely whenever we would switch it to high beam. that was really scary the first time. the second thing was something blocked the tubing/vent with the air-conditioning and the condensation would back up and drip buckets inside of the car on the passenger side. While a bummer, I did not feel it was anything more abnormal than any car. We love the vehicle and still own it 2006. | | | Previous car: | Toyota Land Cruiser |
